Katie den Daas, who has worked as a producer and executive at ABC News for a decade, was elevated to senior vice president of global newsgathering. She was previously a vice president.
She will continue to oversee multiple news teams teams, and lead the strategic and editorial direction for all domestic and international newsgathering operations, including oversight of the network’s bureaus in New York, Los Angeles and London; ABC News’ affiliate and client service, ABC NewsOne; and ABC Audio, which includes ABC Radio, podcasts and audio entertainment.

Since joining ABC News in 2015, den Daas has worked as a producer in various parts of the news division, including the New York bureau, Special Events and on signature programs, including “World News Tonight with David Muir,” “Good Morning America” and “The View.” She also served as executive producer for ABC News Live and then London bureau chief before taking on broader leadership roles in newsgathering. She moved from London to New York in 2023 to take on the role of vice president of Global Newsgathering. She will continue to be based at ABC News’ New York headquarters.
