A Sense of Home, the nonprofit that aims to prevent homelessness by creating homes and a community for youth aging out of foster care and those impacted by natural disaster, will honor Jeremy Renner and sister Kym Renner of the RennerVation Foundation and nonprofit The Change Reaction at its annual gala, the organization announced on Wednesday.
A Sense of Home‘s 10th anniversary gala is set to take place on Oct. 4 at Los Angeles’ Pacific Design Center, featuring live performances, a seated dinner and silent auction. The Renner siblings, who co-founded the RennerVation Foundation, will be honored for their work providing crucial services for foster youth. The Change Reaction will be recognized for the organization’s role in Los Angeles’s wildfire relief efforts and its support for former foster youth members.
“Foster youth carry so much strength within them, but they shouldn’t have to carry it all alone,” Jeremy Renner said in a statement. “When we come together, we create the kind of support that helps them not just survive, but truly thrive. All kids deserve every opportunity to dream, to grow, and to see a future full of possibilities. At the RennerVation Foundation, we believe that by lifting them up, we are building a stronger tomorrow for all of us.”
The event’s host committee also includes a starry lineup of Nicole Avant and Ted Sarandos, Jena King and Michael Rosenfeld, Charlotte and Gary Gilbert, Serena and Shawn Levy, Chelsea Handler, Jennifer Garner, Tobey Maguire, Amanda Anka and Jason Bateman, Emile Hirsch, Camila Morrone, Suki Waterhouse, Sara Gilbert, Soleil Moon Frye, Sienna Lee and Maverick Carter, Britt and Harvey Mason Jr, Linda and Drew Scott, Ashlee Margolis and Jenine Leigh Pollard, Kristin Hahn, Kat Samick, Julie and Jimmy Darmody, Julie Yorn, Alexandra Trustman, Irena and Mike Medavoy, Ivette Rodriguez, Tara Rudes Dann and Steve Dann, Laura Fischer, Kissy Dugan, Linda & Benn Konner, Lucie Ayres, Lucila Sola and Emily Love.
“As we gather to celebrate A Sense of Home’s 10 years of service, we are especially proud to honor The Change Reaction in addition to honoring Jeremy Renner and sister Kym Renner’s RennerVation Foundation for their life-changing and impactful work,” Georgie Smith, president and founder of A Sense of Home, and Ken Grouf, CEO of A Sense of Home, said in a combined statement. “Both organizations strive to cultivate community and exemplify what it means to turn compassion into action. Their unwavering commitment to transforming lives and building brighter futures, makes working side by side with these important organizations — uplifting for us all.”
