Netflix has pulled back the curtain on its Korean unscripted programming slate at a festival event in Seoul, unveiling a roster of new and returning reality shows set to premiere from September through February 2026.
In a few short years since launching its unscripted lineup in Korea, Netflix has catapulted local reality and competition shows onto the worldwide stage. Audiences that had never watched Korean unscripted shows discovered new favorites, bringing shows like “Physical: 100” and “Culinary Class Wars” to the #1 spot on Netflix’s Global Non-English TV lists.
The influence of these shows has been significant: “Physical: 100” has ignited global fitness trends and inspired new international editions in the U.S. and Italy; and “Culinary Class Wars” elevated lesser-known chefs to a worldwide stage, creating a massive surge in restaurant reservations and a renewed interest in fine dining. Meanwhile, fan favorite “Single’s Inferno” stands out as the only Korean unscripted series to reach its fifth season.
The upcoming shows include “Crime Scene Zero,” a role-playing mystery game show, premiering on Sept. 23. Every episode will feature a special guest, starting with Park Sung Woong and Joo Hyun Young. “Physical: Asia” premieres in October, and Netflix has unveiling the eight country teams competing against each other: Korea, Japan, Thailand, Mongolia, Türkiye, Indonesia, Australia, and the Philippines.
In November, Netflix teams up for the first time with Nah Yung-suk’s renowned production crew to bring “Three Idiots in Kenya” to the platform. The series stars Lee Su-geun, Eun Ji-won, and Kyuhyun as they embark on a comedic and unpredictable journey across Kenya. December brings the return of the fierce cooking competition show “Culinary Class Wars Season 2.”
In January 2026, “Single’s Inferno” Season 5 debuts, while February marks the comeback of “Agents of Mystery” Season 2, a hybrid adventure and mystery show. Production has begun on Season 3 of “The Devil’s Plan” from the same acclaimed creator, Jeong Jong-yeon. Recently, Netflix also announced that “Better Late Than Single” will be back for Season 2.
Rounding out the slate are fresh takes on the ‘guesthouse universe,’ including “Kian’s Bizarre B&B Season 2” and “Jae-suk’s B&B Rules!” The response to Yoo Jae-seok’s new series has been strong, with over 55,000 teams applying to be a guest and about 3,500 people interviewing for it.
