Netflix subscribers can get ready to laugh, scream and wonder as a slew of original, returning, and licensed titles land on the platform this October.
For laughs, the month opens with the arrival of all three “Austin Powers” and “Beverly Hills Cop” movies along with a long list of other preexisting properties. The most highly anticipated comedy debut of the month, however, comes on Oct. 23, with the release of “Nobody Wants This” Season 2. Adam Brody and Kristen Bell return in the heartwarming rom-com series that first hit Netflix in September 2024.
Just in time for the Halloween season, Netflix is also releasing “Monsters: The Ed Gein Story,” the third season in Ryan Murphy’s true crime anthology series. Focusing on the titular serial killer who inspired the antagonists in “Psycho,” “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” and “The Silence of the Lambs” through a series of heinous crimes in the 1950s, “The Ed Gein Story” may be “Monsters”‘s most chilling season yet. All eight episodes drop on Oct. 3.
Finally, the month closes with the long awaited fourth season of “The Witcher” on Oct. 30. Liam Hemsworth finally takes on the role of Geralt of Rivia as he continues to explore and defend the Continent against fantastical monsters and ghoulish forces.
