Dozens of young demonstrators have been arrested for a fifth day running in cities across Morocco. As before, a heavy police presence in the capital Rabat and other cities including Casablanca and Agadir largely thwarted the youth protests against corruption and for better health and education. Cases reported over the past three weeks are showing early signs of a downward trend. However, maintaining and ramping up control measures remain critical in stopping the outbreak.
